Another well executed to style lager from these masters. Clean golden body, fresh biscuits and a smooth grassy finish. It feels a tad oily, but perhaps that's due to a slight undercarbonation. Either way, I look forward to having another. Prost.

nothing real different or odd about this one, just a real good marzen style. gives me even greater respect for these guys, one of their first lagers i have had, and its as good as any of their hoppy or wild beer, with a somewhat deeper malt base than others, but plenty dry in the end, its really well done. regal deep copper to burnt orange color, a tall white head with excellent retention and ring lacing on top. aroma and flavor of toasty grain, german barley malt, honey, subtle butterscotch, bready old world bavarian lager yeast, grassy hops in perfect proportion, sweet in the middle more dry and nutty and warming in the finis, plenty dry for the style, lots of smooth round slippery easy drinking body, great carbonation, perfect prickle. while perhaps not the most interesting or inventive beer these guys make, its a pretty splendid take on a traditional style, one of the best of the season for me so far. man i wish these guys sent beer to colorado, i positively love everything they do!

Summer of pFriem continues with this octoberfest offering. Saw on tap and had to have. Pours a cyclone of bubbles that give way to a toasty biscuitness in a golden brown malty goodnes. Seriously sessionable as it should be, but don't let that fool this beer has flavor.
