Golden amber in color. Slightly hazy with an orange cream head that leaves a good amount of lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, orange zest, and spice. The flavor has grapefruit, loquat, ginger, grass, and earthy notes. Complex, yet well balanced. Medium body, resinous mouthfeel, hops bitterness and floral essence in the aftertaste. Dry finish. A very nice beer overall!

Light amber with a faint head that leaves little lacing. Nose is hard to place. Grapefruit, pineapple, hops, maybe gingerbread as the bottle suggests? Taste is hopforward and balanced. light mouthfeel.

Beautiful light amber color with a foamy and sticky white head that laces til the end.
Smells like ("lychee"? Sure. I'm not too familiar with it but the label says so), along with mango and a little spice.
Taste matches aroma along with a faint toasted sesame and a peach pit sweetness on the end that stays.
Well balanced leaning on slightly bitter with a clean and dry feel.
I can't say enough about pFriem. Absolutely wonderful. Cheers!

Lovely pile of foam on the golden orangey brew. A little grapefruit in the nose. Flowery hops. There is a hint of gingerbread as the label suggests. Warm and malty with just a little scratchy bitterness. Another delicious pFriem beer that is intriguing but doesn't go overboard with weirdness.
Pleasant spicy rye flavor. Grainy and tastes darker than it is. Overall a highly drinkable but very flavorful brew. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at IGA market in downtown Seattle. Bottled date is 02-16-16.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a fine one finger white head with great retention and lots of lacing. Aroma of bready malt, citrus and dank hops, orange citrus, mild rye tartness. Flavor is rich bready malt, rye, citrus and piney hops with a bit of dankness, orange citrus; finishes with citrus rind and piney hop bitterness and a light rye tartness. Superb creamy medium body that has the mouth feel of an oat based ale, really nice. I'm always happy to see another rye beer, and have been lucky to have several exceptional Northwest versions to choose from. I just found another one. Although the hops initially overwhelm the rye flavors, the rye kicks in and melds with the malt and hops as well as the creamy body to provide really well blended integration of rye and IPA. I have high expectations for Pfriem and this one met them. Very enjoyable with both feel and taste coming together for satisfaction.
