Kettled Sour Passionfruit

absolutely delicious fruited summer sour. a clean and tart kettle sour, better than most, not one dimensional either, some lemony natural acidity here along with the gripping bacterial sour, really refreshing though ad not too harsh. its brewed with passion fruit, but smells and tastes like more of a fruit cocktail, the natural twang of the passion fruit is awesome with the puckery sourness, and i like that its not just fruit, but there is an appreciable dry cereal maltiness to this, a good foundation. there are also suggestions of white wine, peach, mango, guava, and pineapple in here, its sweet for a moment but reduced before it can run away by the acidity. the fruit is so authentic, juicy, ripe, sunny and summery, tropical but not sugary, this just tastes like vacation to somewhere i want to go, and packs in far more complexity than i am used to in most kettle sours. this is refined to an extremely high level, a standout in a style that can be real hit or miss. i love pfriem, every beer they make is great!
