Pours a dirty reddish yellow. Like moderately bloody urine. Not completely opaque, but somewhere in the middle. Nice little fuzz of white head dissipates pretty quickly to settle as just a ring around the glass. No lacing.

Nose is immediately apparent upon popping the cork. It's jammy fruit up front and unmistakably italian plum... I feel like I'm up at my parents' place picking the plums from my mom's massive plum tree. There's an earthy wild character simmering underneath as well. Really really lovely aromatics. As it warms it sweetens and adds an almost raspberry syrupy-character, with a bit of lightbramble behind it.

Flavour brings in more of the wild character. It's still got that rich plummy fruitiness as well as a bit of that brambly/raspberry note, but it's much more driven by the earthy yeasty tartness. As it opens up there's even some light watermelon elements that I pick out as well. It is just really nicely balanced overall between the fruit sweet and the tart wild character.

Good tart acidity without being overbearing. Small sharp carbonation blends perfectly into that profile. Surprisingly dry finish for how sweet it can present at times.
I like this one a lot. I think it might be one the better Pfriem beers I've had, and they're no slackers overall.

Reddish with copper tinting clear body, clean pour. Big sour plum with almost as big oak, slight brett, and flowers. Taste is much the same, has some background berries to go with the plum, more wild than funky in complexion overall. Feel is cool, sour, lightly funky almost more oaky honestly, wetter for style

This one pours a purplish pinkish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like juicy and tart plums, wheat, oak, red wine, grassiness, and vanilla.

This place really knows how to do high quality fruited sours. The fruit is well done and very present, but it does not completely overwhelm the base beer or barrel. There’s soft wheat, grassy and clovey funk, oak, and vanilla, with a juicy bite of plum on top of it all.

This is light bodied and crisp and clean, with a very good drinkability.

This is just another super solid and super sturdy wild ale from one of the best producers of them in America.

375ml bottle at tasting. Pale golden with some pink tones, small wispy head. Plums on the nose along with the funky tartness. Taste follows with more plums, sweet vanilla, barrel notes, brett.
Solid.

the latest in their series of lambic inspired wild ales, this one features italian plums, and its one of the best of the lot in my experience. its white and purple in the pour, frothy and pure looking in the head and the haze, but lavender or violet in shade from the fruit, and fairly thick looking for how delicate it is. aroma and flavor show a now familiar wild yeast complexion, more funky than sour but with elements of both for sure, very mature and very dry. the plums are awesome in here, natural tasting, with some tart skins and sweet flesh aspects alike, super compatible with the wild funk and the sourness, and the fruit seems to almost bring up the yeast. its not so fruity that i cant appreciate the wheaty base or the nuances of the cultures. smooth and rich feeling, very well carbonated, and palate coating. not as sour as some of the other ones in the series perhaps, but its just right with the plums. the quality of this beer is incredible, i stand in awe here, and almost every time i have wild beer from pfriem. this is magnificent, and is as good as anything i have had with plums. one of the highlights from a killer session last night!
