16oz can from Brewers Haven. Clear golden pour, frothy white foamy head. Aroma is citrus, sweet, hoppy. Taste is light pale malts, citrusy notes, very mild bitterness. Really enjoyable. pFriem continues to knock them out of the park.

500ml bottle purchased at the grocery store.
Smells bready. Tastes mellow. As in the embodiment of mellow. A little fruit, a little pine, a little spice, a little yeast. On that subject, am I tasting a pilsner/lager yeast? Carbonation is crisp and light. Overall, this beer drinks a whole lot lighter than the 6.8% it's packing.
Another well-crafted beer from Pfriem. They have yet to disappoint me.

Pour is gorgeous and lives up to its name. Crisp clear gold, the colour and clarity of storebought apple juice. Nice white soapy head that settles into a galaxy swirl with constellations of larger bubbles, and nice fur around the edge.
Nose is sweet grains and nondescript sweet fruity hops.
Flavour carries a little more shape, though it still carries that shape with subtlety. Soft impressions of cantaloupe and honeydew meet mango and peach and a steady current of honey-like sweetness. Ends with a piney bitter finish that lasts and lingers.
Extremely lively body, that is on the lighter side, though it fools ya sometimes.

Call us old-fashioned, but we still think beer should look nice when poured onto a glass. This is a well-done IPA with a clean golden color. Tight foamy head, great lacing. Fruit and citrus dominate - no pine notes here. While an IPA in hop profile, the solid malt foundation PFriem puts into their offerings comes through. If you see this one in your local store, pick up a couple or four...you won't be dissapointed.

Three 17oz bottles picked up at Total Wine in Seattle, Washington.
Bottled on date is 6/19/19, pretty fresh. Served in a chilled pint glass.
Look- Pale gold color with a solid fluffy white head , good amount of lacing. Carbonation is rather active in the glass as it sits.
Smell- Peach and watermelon, ripe honeydew and cantaloupe, citrus, berries and honey. Very jammy aroma.
Taste- Melons, peach and strawberry jam, there's the kiwi, a good little burst of malt, piney/hoppy bitterness comes in softly in the finish. Definitely more muted than the smell.
Feel- Really light feeling, a little crisp carbonation on the tongue and the roof of the mouth. Doesn't take any effort to put this down.
O- Another solid offering from pFriem. An ideal Spring/Summer brew.

500ml botlte purchased from Lifesource Natural Grocer in Salem OR
$3.99
Pours an ever so slightly hazed bright golden colour..with a lovelly frothy creamy white head.
Aromas of peach pit, lemon peel and grapefruit.
Taste the same ..zesty . fruity but a bit more balanced from some light caramel malts.
Mouth feel is excellent for a warm summer beer style..well carbonated but medium to lowish feel.
A really nice hot weather beer

Pale, gleaming gold with a towering, mousse-like, white head of foam, this IPA is attractive and true to its name, but unexpectedly light colored for the style. Somehow herbal, gently spicy, and jammy at the same time, pFriem has brewed a beer that almost smells like a mild chutney. Melon, kiwi, and clover honey notes add up to an intriguing aroma. Effervescent and creamy but light on the palate, Golden IPA brings flavors of bitter citrus, sweeter, yeasty baguette, and a trace of dried basil. A bit more body would be welcome. Clean and crisp with a semi-dry but fleeting finish, this is a good, unique beer that is somewhat difficult to precisely categorize.

A beautiful Golden color is fitting for the name. Clear enough to see my fingers through the glass, it's shimmering body is topped with a puff of white, which leaves it's marks well known to the glass.
The aroma is remarkably reminiscing of citrus forward hops being thrown into a boiling kettle. Freshly cracked grain and even a touch of spicy black licorice.
As advertised on the bottle, a watermelon like flavor is met head on by my perception of black licorice. Papaya like fruit skin is also noticeable long after sips.
The feel is quite standard. A little fruity start with a bubbly touch, then a slightly bitter and dry finish. It's a refreshing IPA in that it's superbly drinkable.
This is a good and pretty unique beer. Love the licorice notes as it reminds me of some of my classic favorites. Having said that, Golden IPA is not one that I will seek out again, bit I'll sure as hell never decline one if offered either. Cheers.

A little haze in the yellow-amber brew with plenty of foam in the Brigand chalice. Pleasing sudsy mouthfeel and some malty body. Aroma of alfalfa, straw, and green melon. Tangy on the tongue and on the acidic side.
Fruity taste with payaya and green mango. Spicy, even. pFriem is not bragging about the hops, but it would be interesting to know what's in this stuff. An intriguing, complex, and tasty hoppy brew. Moderate bitterness with a dry, slightly mineral aftertaste along with the aromatics. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Haggen Market in Burlington.

Bottle from Whole Foods in Tanasbourne.
This 3 week old IPA is a mostly clear golden orange with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is pleasantly bright, fruity and pungent. Citrus, kiwi, melon, pine and some stone fruit are present. Minimal malt character. The palate opens with a moderate bitterness and a pleasing resin note. There's plenty of fruit with kiwi, honeydew melon, peach and some bright citrus oils. The mid palate continues to focus on the fruity aspects of the beer. Drying, mildly bitter and pleasantly fruity on the finish, this beer is light in body and moderately carbonated. Wonderful finish and wonderful mouthfeel here. One of the more impressive pFriem offerings of late.
