Bottle into Brandy Snifter
Look: Golden pale yellow color, pouring a 1.5 finger head which slowly dissipated
Smell: Light yeast, and mellow oak, hint of lemon, doughy malt, white wine
Taste: White wine, lemon and doughy malt with some yeast funk. hint of hops bitterness, and more clear white wine influence.
Feel: Moderate carbonation, med-light body, mellow finish, semi-dry. Nice silky texture
Overall: Influence is there, easy sipper brew.

375 ml bottle into a tulip snifter. 2023 edition, had 6/15/23.
Pours a cloudy yellow golden color, with a big, fluffy head on the first pour with good retention and a decent amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of white wine, white grapes, vanilla, some pear, some funk, light Brett, light apple, a little Belgian yeast, a hint of watermelon. Somewhat similar flavors: white grapes, white wine, malt, some Brett, light pear and apple, a light hop bitterness mostly on the finish. Tastes herbal, a little floral and earthy. Smooth, somewhat dry, a good but a touch thinner lighter body, well carbonated on the high side.
Delightful. Has a terrific aroma, great flavor, a solid base, and expressive barrels. Would buy this again.

Seems like there's a pFriem I once liked. Was I drunk?

On tap at the Loyal Legion
Buttery, mildly mineral-like on the nose, a blend of a Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. A touch of vanilla is also present. The palate does seem super buttery, which was rather unexpected. Mildly tart with some fruit noticeable, particularly pineapple and peach, this beer is solid.

this is really, really good. i love pfriem, especially when they make beers like this. a belgian golden or saison type base, aged in sauvignon barrels and bretty, so good. its striking in the nose even if it comes out just a little bit flat from the tap, rather the head doesnt stay long, it has plenty of bubbles, champagne and pear, tropical fruit, canned pineapple, mature brett brux for sure, and a light belgian ester too, a couple of fermenting agents at work here. the base beer seems simple and light, clean and with some grounding cereal malt character, but the barrel and the yeast are primary here. i get some kiwi fruit in with the heavy white wine, the actual green grape itself, some tannis, vanilla from the oak, a little floral honey from the grain but overall this is dry. lots of oak, golden raisin, dandelion, peach, and clean bacterial tang before the funk, but way more bretty than sour. i love the belgian yeast and this strain of brett together, they work great in tandem here, and the wine is everywhere. really spritzing feeling, lighter body, clean in the finish, complex but lively and sort of energizing to me. brilliant beer, one of their best i think! ill buy a bottle for the cellar, but this is stellar right now...
