Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus hops, oatmeal and lemon citrus. Flavor is pale and lightly grainy malt, citrus hops, oatmeal, sweet bread, lemon and faint cinnamon. Finishes with generic cookie dough and lemon citrus. Medium bodied with light creaminess. I had to pick this up because of its name. Unfortunately there is not enough oats in it to give it the creaminess of an oat malt, but the flavor is winning. Although it doesn't really taste like an oatmeal cookie (where's the raisins?), it does have a lot of generic cookie character with some like snickerdoodle and lemon bar coming to mind from some of the flavors. Also seems to have fruit notes from a Belgian type yeast, which works well here. There is a pleasant oatmeal note as well. It starts with lemon hops and ale malt up front, but develops the more interesting cookie flavors later in the taste and into the finish. Not quite what I expected, but I like it.
