Pours a cheerful golden straw with a white lace tiara. Aromas of freshly chopped pineapple, white grape and jasmine bound playfully ahead of flavors of lemon, guava and pine before a bright, tart, spritzy finish. Zing!

Bottled on what looks like 1-12-22, definitely 2022. Opened 4-13-25.
Thin white head with short retention. Yellow-gold and cloudy body. Some early lacing.
Pineapple, faint wood, lemon-lime, and the promise of sour in the aroma.
Great pineapple flavor livened up by the acidity and moderate sourness.
Light body, bright entry, puckering acidity. Pineapple sour in a dry finish.
Unique and tasty. Very Good.

2022 vintage

I’ve been having a decent amount of pFriem lately thanks to Tavour, and Imve been really happy with every beer I’ve had from them so far. I have to imagine this will be no different, especially seeing that a Wild Ale with pineapple will be greatly refreshing for this hot day. Let’s pop this bad boy open and see what it’s all about

Pours a cloudy pale yellow with 2 fingers of soapy white head that quickly fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing

The nose has a definite sweetness to it but it’s pretty well balanced. I’m picking up on aromas of pineapple juice, lemon juice, coconut cream, tannic white wine, white pepper, wildflower honey, light nectarine, and dry oak

It’s pretty similar in taste, though prehaps trends a bit sweeter particularly towards the finish. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting pineapple juice, white grape, dry oak, lemon zest, wildflower honey, white pepper, biscuitsy malt, and light apricot. The swallow brings notes of pineapple juice, coconut cream, lemon zest, tannic white wine, sharp oak, vanilla, light biscuity malt, and wildflower honey

A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a sharp beer. Finishes bone dry and balanced

Another winner from pFriem. I’ll have to keep trying their beers

A Tavour Treat. Pours a pale yellow color with virtually no head. Aroma of sour fruits with floral overtones. Taste is sour citrus and lemon. Finishes slightly sweet. Interesting.

fun beer, pineapple, as common as it is in hoppy stuff and blonde types these days, seems to so rarely make it into wild beer, so i was stoked to try this, especially from these guys, who always slay this sort of thing. a little cloudy, very pale yellow, super light, a little still, i have a bottle of this in the cellar but was pumped to find it on tap, i wonder how time will do for this. it smells like canned rather than fresh pineapple to me, no matter how it was made, sweet and tangy, tropical but also kind of simple, especially with their house funkiness to it, less lambic more tart saison to me, but some bretty and tangy elements as well as the estery ones, neat mixed culture type vibes, sweet in the nose but not in the taste. i almost swear there is a little coconut flesh in this too, tropical like that and warm in a sun soaked way, faint lemon peel, white tea, and honeysuckle. this is delicate, less sour than expected, and a lot of fun for spring. in the flavor the funk is subtle, the sourness restrained, and a lot of white wine, pear, white pepper, and even melon notes, its playfully fruity, uniquely yeasty, and not woody enough to be heavy, but definitely woody enough to have some mature intrigue to it. vinous through the finish, a little residual confectioners type sweetness, and a very soft, raw wheaty seeming body and mouthfeel, fine carbonation, and an easy lightness about it. different and good, maybe not the best expression of pineapple i have ever known in a beer, but i like what im drinking. excited to try it from the bottle in a few months, or years...

edit: finally got to the bottle yesterday, 2022 vintage here in april 2026, more than three years since the above review. immediate funk and obvious pineapple in the nose of this glowing yellow brew, not quite clear and not much head still., but lots of bubbles and life to it. fresh and funky at the same time, smells sourer than it drinks, lightly medicinal, some vanilla character from the wood, wet animal character to the ferment, wet concrete minerality, very little sweetness left from the fruit but its so obvious here still, its acid is here, so cool with the funkiness this leads with, juicy and summery and delicious, i am thankful for my patience with this one, the cellar has been very good to it. some white wine and lemon with the pineapple to finish, very refreshing, zesty, and complex but drinkable. increasing the overall score slightly, loved this from the bottle with some age on it!

Pours light yellow, with active, fast carbonation and a light head and body. Aroma is pineapple and citrus. Taste is OH BOY SOUR! And pineapple. There is a strong, pucker factor with a sourness that seeks to pull your head into your body. A fresh, snappy taste, clean and reminiscent of Caribbean sunshine bouncing off calm, harbor waters. A summer beer and one best enjoyed by those who enjoy a snap and sour note to life.

Pale yellow body, mild haziness; extremely lively carbonation; no head retention; very effervescent. Huge tropical fruit nose; lemon, lime, pineapple, mango. Intense fruit flavors; all the elements noted in the smell yet energized with an intense yet balanced citrus acidity; very tart and tangy. Medium body; coarse carbonation tickles the palate; acidic juiciness with a dab of dryness to round things out.

This beer delivers a monstrously fresh and lively fruited sour experience. Lime and pineapple really dominate things yet the beer, as a whole, is balanced. Complex and festive.

Poured at 63 °F; BOTTLE ON 02/17/21 and labeled as a "barrel aged pineapple ale".

Cloudy super bright yellow body with a white cap, very cheerful. Indeed the pineapple leads both the smell and taste is a bright and light sour way. It is joined by lemon and orange accents in the nose. Taste has a juicy element to the pineapple and citrus, but now also has light wild yeast on the finish. Starts wet and finishes dry, very bright, playfully sour, refreshing. Really nice pineapple sour ale, wish there was a little more complexity to it but well made. Great for the summer

A fairly interesting wild ale that’s more a gose than anything. Hazy golden straw color. Alternately sour, tart, and salty, with a light citrusy flavor. Lighter body, dry finish, and I wish I could figure out the abv, because it has a surprisingly strong presence. Crisp, refreshing, flavorful, and as I said, a fun variance of a taste experience.
