Nice and dark and rich. The alcohol content is not well hidden at all. That's my major issue with this.
It's got a nice chocolate and nut taste, but it's jet fuel.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a relatively thin black with almost no head. The nose is dark roasted malts, light coffee, a touch of vanilla, milk chocolate, and maybe a very slight hint of coconut.
The taste is nice and smooth. Again, not really getting much coconut here. Dark chocolate, roasted malts, a hint of toffee, and maybe a hint of coconut. It's super odd that the coconut is either absent or minimal at best. Still really good, but not necessarily what it was sold as.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a chocolate aftertaste.

Pours over a finger of tan head into my snifter. Retention is pretty good, and half of the head remains after a few minutes. Lacing is wonderful. Body is pitch black. Great looking beer.
Nose is very deep and roasty, balanced by some sweet chocolate, faint whispers of fatty coconut in the back. Almost a little spicy. Solid, not super wild.
Flavor is mostly the same, roasty, some chocolate, faint coconut.
For 9% this hides the alcohol perfectly, zero traces. Carbonation is medium. Body has a little bit of weight to it, but still drinks very light. Sweetness is subtle, but present. Bitterness is somewhat low, but there is certainly some from the roasted malt. Overall the mouthfeel works just fine.
Drinkability is wonderful, not cloying and no alcohol bite.
It’s a very delicate, soft stout. Not abrasive at all, with a little sweetness and some good backing flavors. Not bursting with character, but that may be a good thing considering the potential for alcohol and excess residual sugar, which it has none of.

A tasty beer for the season - although with coconut in it, it's more like Mele Kalikimaka than White Christmas. Restrained toasted coconut, balanced malt with a slightly bitter finish. Ho ho ho.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown with little light transmission in the glass and a half finger khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, coconut, cocoa and light coffee. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light to moderate char, milk and bakers chocolate, toasted coconut and a touch of coffee; coconut and chocolate finish with some residual char. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. A very nice coconut stout with great chocolate malt body with light char and coffee notes. Not "Almond Joy" over the top confectionery tasting, instead is wonderfully integrated with fine balance. Coconut has fine toasted taste that compliments the light char and roast of the malt. These guys seem to be the masters of all styles. Recommended (unless you are coconut averse).
