right up there with the best pils types ive ever tasted, some really special malt on this one, and a cool collaborative project, these guys have a ton of reach apparently, and this is a really unique project and end result, one of the easiest, most refined, but also most flavorful and texturally awesome pils types ive ever known, i wish i could drink this as often as i wanted to, something to really be proud of for them. a mug of this leaves nothing to be desired, i believe this was from their side pull faucet, but cannot confirm, flattering to say the least. golden and high shine, mirror clarity, impossibly effortless white head well over an inch tall and hanging on the whole drink, and freshness abounds in the nose, instantly recognizable but also complex. the grain is bready, baked, hearty, light, and hints at things like cashews and shortcake, enriched without being rich if that makes sense, because despite some body and some strong flavor, its not sweet or heavy. the yeast is familiar, timeless, and perfectly deployed here, crisp without rushing the beer, and incredibly clean overall. the hops to me are light enough to let the special malt shine, which is the point i think, but its not nothing, and the back end bitterness this comes with adds a lot, contributing also to the freshness of the whole thing. smooth and luxurious feeling, sudsy and with great structure, and i find it kind of addicting overall. it warms up better than most, and there is really no limit to how much of this i want to sit and drink here. as good as it gets in the pils space, of any persuasion, and one of my favorite beers of 2024 so far, really elite!
