Bourbon Barrel Marionberry Oatmeal Stout

Handsome dark brown, near black, with dark beige foam in the nobbly glass. Lovely aroma of dark grains and fruit. I haven't had one of the barrel-aged concoctions for a long time, but this one is different. It's a much lighter profile without the sugar and unctuous stuff. The berries are a nice flavor and go along with the tangy and moderately roasted flavors. The taste is quite delicious fruit with caramel and a sharp finish. Less darkness, less sugar, and more fruit. From the 375 ml capped bottle dated 08/23/24.
