all the good berries in this and lots of them, cool funk, lots of natural berry tartness, drying for being this fruity, not more sour than the fruit is on its own in its natural state, woody in an enhancing way, and a real treat to find on tap in the wild, pfriem does so many things well, but its still this kind of this thing that gets me most excited. gorgeous deep stained glass toned almost blood red, looks like wine, very little head after a second but its got enough carbonation on the whole, stunning color saturation, pretty polished looking. smells like red wine, honestly grapey with tannins and tang, nice oak, and i think more red raspberry than any of the others, but they all come together so well, lovely ripeness and intensity, subtle almost lambic funk, bacterially tart too with a lightening lemon element, minimally malty to me, juicy as heck, just really compelling on the fruit, and its all there in the flavor too. oaken and mature but also still bright and fresh, with seriously grippy tannins, nice minerality, and an almost graphite thing happening too. blackberry jam, i think the flavor is even better than the nose because i get each berry specifically, they come in waves, and you kind of surf each one awhile, its a lovely expression of these fruits and their synergies. love the wine barrel treatment, subtle but ideal for this, and i like it having some funk to go with the acid, very wild to me. little bit of body here but never grainy really at all. this is great beer, absolutely packed with fruit, well worth seeking out, loved it!
