Clear, golden pour and body; sparse carbonation; thick head, white and lasting, sculpted appearance with spidery webs of foam inside the glass. Fine aroma; mild citrus and other fruity esters; spicy note. Outstanding taste; clean with an exuberant hop kick; zesty with fresh spicy overtones; slight biscuit malt base flavor; peppery; sage and thyme. Medium body; smooth overall with just a twinge of dry raspiness on the palate.

This tasty, classic beer style does a good job overall. I do wonder if I would have tried when I first got it two or so weeks ago if I would have noticed any different hop flavors. Still, this is a balanced and nice drinking west coast style India pale ale.

They don't seem to want to list the hops in this year's canned fresh hop IPA, but it's quite delicious. Pours a clear amber with abundant foam in the pFriem dimpled stein. wonderful aroma of apricot and lemon cake. Mouthfeel is light and bright and watery in a nice way. Tangy and slightly sweet and full of fruit flavors. Tastes of dark berries with some citrus peel. Distinct bitter aftertaste but quite mellow. From the 16 oz can purchased at Special Brews in Lynnwood, Wash. Dated 09/05/25.
