2023 bottled poured at fridge temp. Pours a relatively thin black with a little bit of tan head. The nose is Amburana immediately. Cinnamon, chocolate, bourbon, tons of vanilla, and bit of graham cracker.

The taste is fantastic. The amburana has a massive influence on the beer, which I love. Vanilla, cinnamon, a touch of nutmeg, chocolate, and malt balls. Not much else, but that's OK with me.

The mouthfeel is relatively thin for an imperial stout, but it doesn't detract from the experience. Lovely beer overall.

2023 bottling

Appearance: Pours a clear coffee color capped by a one finger head that slowly fades to a collar and film; streaks and spots of lacing

Smell: The Amburana chips impart a range of aromatics, the most prominent of which are spice cake tones of cinnamon and nutmeg; there are also chocolate, vanilla and graham cracker notes; a hint of Bourbon

Taste: Spice cake and graham cracker flavors forward with milk chocolate and vanilla emerging; undertones of Bourbon arrive, with the swallow, along with a touch of tropical fruit

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with low to moderate carbonation

Overall: The Amburana chips impart some really interesting flavors that go really well with the chocolate and Bourbon elements
