A selection of the best distillers casks re-emerge after a second stint in fresh barrels, breathing new spirit into mature beer. Our Barrel Cuvée brims with sophisticated sensibilities of cocoa, citrusy spice, and roasted oak. Aged for years, toast this Cuvée in the special moments.
Don't call this a pastry stout. 2025 Distiller's Cuvée is the product of all that we've learned about brewing, barrel-aging, blending, and inffusing -- spun into a beer that pushes the boundaries of flavor while still remaining true to our mission: brewing the beers we love to drink. A blend of double oat stout, double milk stout, imperial stout and barleywine, aged in a mix of rum, bourbon and apple brandy barrels. Infused with a copious amount of Coava coffee, Woodblock cacao, toasted coconut and vanilla. Call it an after dinner drink. Call it a nightcap. Just don't call it a pastry stout.

Dark brown pour, clear with hints of purple; opaque in the glass; thin yet long-lasting head, light khaki colored, rich and spongy. Truly outstanding aroma; bold dark roast coffee element mixing with milk chocolate; vanilla and toffee. The taste nearly mirrors the smell with the balance of chocolate, vanilla and coconut with coffee notes; muted booziness. Heavy body yet soft and pillowy on the palate; delicate lip-smacking stickiness.
This is truly a 'wow' beer. It comes across very well balanced and quite delightful with its melding of flavors. And just when I thought I might cancel my subscription to this club from pFriem, those fuckers keep putting some unbelievably good beers. I'm hooked on this beer, I'm hooked on their club. My beer burden to bear.
ABV: 13.0%; pouring temperature: 51.5 °F; bottling info: 2025; 11 19 25
