A: a mediocre 60% opaque beer that did not look particularly interesting poured into my 6 ounce snifter at the bar (6 ounce was the going serving size). A full, cloudy, muddy apple cider brown.
S: citrusy, sour smell with a yeast backbone that hinted at sour cherries and biscuity malt. Light, fruity, and refreshing
T: This is a delicious sour, with a sophisticated backbone and well-balanced malt presence. This is not the most tongue-numbingly sour beer I've ever had, but it is amongst the most complexly well-developed. It is a wonderfully tart, and somewhat sweet sour beer in the vein of well-baked lemon square - a little sour, a little sweet, and just enough bread to make it right.
M: well-carbonated with an acidic bite that complements the flavor. Something this tart deserves to be this bubbly.
O: a great sour from a great brewery. Need I say more? This is a perfect lemon square, limoncello dessert in a glass, even if the dull brown would suggest otherwise.
