A hoppy and aromatic session ale with bright citrus flavours. Aromas of grapefruit, pine and herbs are followed by a soft bitterness and earthy undertones.

500ml distinctive shaped oval bottle.
L: Light haze & streams of micro-bubbles. Rich, orange-hued, amber colour. One finger of creamy suds.
S: Soft toffee and hints of citrus.
T: Pale malt upfront with almost-citrus hops following. Bitterness is soft. Sweet aftertaste.
F: Smooth & gentle mouthfeel. Medium body. Dry finish.
O: Beautiful looking, easy-drinking, interpretation of an APA from a brewery known for its English Bitter. The hops are dialed down and there’s an earthiness not found in genuine APAs which makes a pleasant change. An English/American pale ale hybrid. Decent bbq beer.

L - Notably copper coloured, clear, pours with 3mm fine white head that holds very well - later forms lacing right down side of glass.
S - Mild citrus and conifer notes.
T - 'Hipster-lite', hoppy with citrus notes but the bitterness is relatively moderate for a US style IPA.
F - It has some dry zestiness to it, the body briefly appears then a small final flourish of dry hops.
O - It would be a good summer session-beer for those who prefer things lighter and on the contemporary side of hopping. For that style I'd say it's fits the bill and there is nothing I note out of place/balance. I see it was launched in March-2019 but only reached my local Waitrose in December; for me it would be better suited to Summer.
BB: 09/07/2020 Bought from Waitrose/UK in a 4pack of different beers from this brewery.
ps. The usual oval flask shaped bottle, with a blue lable.
