L- Very pale, clear, like a sparkling white wine. Pours with a 2mm white head which holds very well.
S- Mild, I just get some grain.
T- Bright and hoppy on the front, notably so it just triggered me sneezing! The hoppy front combines with a strand of sour too...
F- ... resulting in a solidly dry/sour brush across the palate. It's not like more OTT contemporary beers that cause your face to involuntarily contort .... er I mean in hipster self-flagellating pleasure. Mercifully there are no weird tropical fruit (hop) notes going on here.
O- It is dry+somewhat sour. Overall it's pretty austere. As long as you fine with that this might work for you. IMV this is also better a summer beer than... let's say a grotty wet glowering cold October day.
The front lable notes 'Apple & Marmalade with a clean crisp finish'. The first fruity half of that eludes me, the clean+crisp I get and agree.
Not a style of beer that works too well for me. Bought from Wholefoods London/W8 500ml bottle £2.99
