The bartender tossed this into a flight I sampled, as he seemed rather proud of this brew (and perhaps disappointed that I did not choose it for my flight). It was interesting, but ultimately too sweet for my taste.

This stuff is great, and the brewery is real cool too. 3 barrel system hard at work. This wee heavy is dense and malty, earthy and sweet, and with a very rich molasses flavor and texture that is unique and special. Basically no booze burn at all on thus either, and it's not sugary, although there is a sweetness here. Nutty up front, toffee too, and a birch syrup flavor. Marshmallow and espresso in the finish. Great depth here, and a tasty high gravity English type ale yeast that's working as hard as it can. Very impressive from this tiny brewery, all if their beer was good, but this may have been the most memorable of the lot. Truly delicious and relatively easy drinking for what it is.
