Good example of a West-coast style IPA. Not as bitter as some, and a well-balanced malt/hop bill. This is the second-best beer they make, IMHO (next to Full Nelson).

i thought this a pretty solid american style ipa, clean and bright and simple in the malt bill. fruity and new school hoppy in the flavor and finish. pale blonde, mostly clear, heady for a minute, and emitting smells of fresh citrusy bright hops. apparently these guys use mostly local stuff, which i think is awesome, i didnt even know they grew hops down there, but the terroir shows a little, mineral forward and autumnal and fresh, early season and larger in quantity. its a clean drinking beer for its size, with a fast finishing, big time carbonation, and basically no bitterness. better than many of their other beers, although i liked them all at council rock. a great alternative to ommegang, not more than a mile or two away, beer just about as good on the whole. loved this place.

Poured into a nonic a clear copper color with a full one finger sticky white head atop.Aromas of light citrus and leafy hops, sweetish biscuit malt as well.Hop flavors are more leafy and herbal with just a hint of citrus, the malt profile is more on the dryer side just lending a some biscuit dough. Not a bad IPA,seems almost English in nature.
