Dry-hopped Helles. I should have been warned. I like hoppy beers like any other, but a Helles is based on fine selection of pale malts (Pilsener, Munich, Vienna) sweet maltiness and restrained but balancing noble hops. Dry hopping with American citric hops is not working here, obviously. It was refreshing though.

Overall, this doesn't much resemble a proper Helles. Too dark, a bit buttery, not really crisp enough, and even the additional late hops didn't help matters. Seems more like a light pale ale, but still a decent thirst quencher. Cheers!

Pours hazy yellow with a creamy lasting head of foam. Went down with a fight , clinging in spots. Crisp floral, lemon, hop pepper breaddy malt. Drinks with a bright citrusy hop with a crisp floral. Peppery smooth body with just enough bitterness to show you how creamy it is. Smells like dandelions. Stemmy, herbal, clean a touch bitter and malty.

Still behind on good reviews, because the end of the year was so busy. This is a resoundingly okay helles- one that won't knock your socks off or anything, but one that is incredibly drinkable, with some solid, sweet malt backbones and a good amount of breadiness. Some spicy, bitter hops to go along with it. A nice, drinkable brew.

Served on tap into a pint glass. Decent head and lacing. Fruity, bready smell. Taste of lemons, bread, and a bit of bitterness. It had a bit of a sharp feel, overall pretty good.

Fine foam and a very thick structure for a Helles. Pleasant fruity hop nose. Fresh taste with great spicy hop savours without being bitter. One of my favorite beers!

I'll keep it simple. Big, but "soft" punch of citrus in the front (especially some beautiful lime), enhanced by that lagery zestiness, with a nice tropical touch. Crisp, refreshing, so so clean (no faults, that is). Just bitter enough, some nice apple esters, perfect body and carbonation.
This is lager. Finally.

12 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 3/17/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden color with a 1 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, mango, melon, cracker, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, mango, melon, cracker, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, mango, melon, cracker, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness, complexity, and balance of citrus/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and lightly creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is a very nice hoppy Helles lager style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; and very smooth, clean, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
