Candied fruits, pine, zest with enough bitterness to fully enjoy this one. The aroma is very nice, has a kind of English IPA feel to it, when I think about it I realize that maybe the flavor too. There is some sort of sourness similar to English bitters but it is balanced out with plenty of hops, does not leave you flat and bitter like the British ones. Actually the can states that the malts are from Germany and England so yep, guess I was on the right track. The bitterness is definitely English though. Not bad at all, although I prefer American IPAs, this one was alright.
