CAN: Nabbed as part of a sixer at a beer store in New Orleans, LA for ~$10ish USD plus tax.
6.7% ABV. "Hazy India Pale Ale." "Featuring Citra, Azacca and Simcoe hops."
Served cold into a nonic pint glass.
A: Fluffy off-white head lasts ~10 minutes. Has a dull murky yellow-orange body that resembles stale orange juice. Very muddled and unattractive.
Sm: Timid citrus. Passionfruit. Grass. Wheat. 2-row.
Very reticent. Suggests a boring turbid IPA with an unremarkable hop profile.
TASTE & TEXTURE: Pulpy and a bit too thick. Hop profile is mediocre - vague citrus, passionfruit, guava. No onion from Simcoe. Not an IPA that showcases Citra particularly well.
Well-carbonated. Somewhat refreshing. Smooth. Wet.
2-row and maybe wheat is all I get malt wise.
OVERALL: You've just got to bring so much more to the table to compete in this oversaturated substyle...this hop profile is mediocre at best, hop pungency is low, depth of flavour is poor...why brew this? A forgettable beer in a style with myriad superior expressions thereof. Not worth the $10 with Lagunitas' Hazy Memory and Sierra Nevada's turbid IPA sitting on every shelf this is on for less. But it's drinkable, sure.

12/07/19 CAN:
"Green" raw juicy flavours...I guess some find that desirable? Fruit pulp and Odwalla juice.
Hop profile needs serious work.
