Brown 500ml bottle, best before End of Nov 2008, drank on a sunny afternoon in early Oct 2008 (in Shropshire).
Poured into my favourite glass of the moment, a Westmalle Chalice one and half times.
A slight haze to my Beautiful Daze, it was a dull orange peel colour with an off-white foaming head at first. The head soon fell away to a thin covering and collar.
The aroma was light and airy, an English country garden type wiff of flowers, sweet peas and hops.
I found the beer a bit thin and too carbonated for my liking. Dry and refreshing it was, but it had something missing for me.
A session beer should still have something about it and this didn't. My first beer reviewed on this site from Otter, I hope they score better next time I come across one of their beers.

Purchased at the Waitrose supermarket. Coming in a 500ml brown glass bottle, filtered. BB APR 09, served cool in a straight imperial pint glass.
A: light amber with reddish hues, coming with a light foamy white head and moderate carbonation.
S: hay-ish and sticky sugary notes come with faint coconut, salty-sweet mixture of prune+tangerine, caramalts, and hints of longan-fruits. Quite pronounced in terms of sweetness and the semi-stinkiness.
T: melted caramel, orangey citrus, biscuity malts, floral hints... all mixed together; leading towards a pretty dry and hoppy finish that is simultaneously bitter-sweet with a touch of plum-preserve like salty-sweet jammy fruits.
M&D: softly carbonated, light-bodied, not ve...ry tasty overall, but the dryish finishing touch adds a few more points to the drinkability.

500ml bottle bought from Sainsbury's...
Poured a light coppery orange colour... Slightly off white head poured nice and thick then faded quickly to thin layer.... No real lacing and no carbonation...
Aroma - Nice lightly toasted biscuity malts, light toffee sweetness, some nuttiness, nice fruitiness (oranges, figs, some apples), bready, some faint spicy hops, some hay hints, some faint wet dog aromas !!
Taste Light biscuity malts, toasted bread, nice light spicy / grassy hops, light caramel / toffee sweetness, nice juicy fruits (apples and bitter oranges, light figs), some saltiness...
Feel - Pretty smooth and creamy... Light / medium body... Very refeshing and quaffable and at 3.6% a supremely good session beer...
Overall - An excellent bitter - a nice find in Sainsbury's.... Very drinkable... Recommended...
