First beer drank upon arrival in Australia; slightly skewed perhaps favorably, by jet lag and the long and dry journey from the states. On tap at Little Guys.
Deep gold body with good clarity, some patchy lace, and a finger of slowly settling cream colored head. Aroma of tropical fruits and pine, with a strong and pleasant undercurrent of sweet biscuity malt. Flavor follows the nose very closely; detailed hoppiness without excessive bitterness; lovely bouquet of tropical fruit, pine, and grass, good biscuit character. Excellent balance.
Medium body and carbonation, nicely smooth draught feel that's lively without being prickly. Mostly dry in the finish without a long or bitter aftertaste. Highly drinkable.
A strong American style ipa of the eastern/Midwest variety. Not a super hop bomb but very well executed and could stand up nicely in a blind tasting against its American counterparts. Had a handful of pints and then it's off to bed for 15 hours or so. Cheers!
