The color is golden yellow (7 EBC), the liquid is almost clear. The three fingers high foam is white and fluffy. It sinks slowly and leaves little lacing on the glass.
The aroma is sweet with hints of honey and some nuts. A hint of paint, and a soft bitterness. Some straw and meadow flowers in the aroma.
The taste is stronger than the fragrance. A hint of butter makes me think of southern Bavaria rather than the Baltic coast. That light oil paint tone is still there. but it does not disturb much. Malty sweetness with a little candy. Bitterness is light to medium, it is clean. Some biscuits in the aftertaste with a lot of German aroma hops with meadow flowers, cut flowers and a little honey. The end is smooth and malty with a long taste of honey, but also a little alcohol.
Carbon dioxide is the medium. Small bubbles.Semi-smooth liquid.
An OK Helles.
