From a 12oz can canned on 10-25-23
Pitch black pouring beer, with no chance of light shining through. The pour is a beautiful nitro pour. The head and the beer mingled as the head settled to the top. A 1 1/2 finger brown head. Fluffy and frothy looking, and very long lasting. Some lacing on the glass.
Nose has notes of chocolate and a hint of lactose.
Taste - Very creamy tasting beer. Some of the cream is from the nitro, but there's a good lactose hit here also. The chocolate flavors go from a roasted dark chocolate to a sweet milk chocolate. I do get a roasted malt flavor in this beer as well as hints of coffee.
This beer is so full bodied. It is smooth and creamy feeling.
This beer is downright amazing.

Picked up a four pack of 12 oz cans. No date on cans.
Pours an opaque black with a lovely three finger thick, creamy head on top that has excellent retention and leaves a bit of lacing on the glass as you drink. Poured according to the instructions on the can, which calls for a very aggressive pour to take advantage of the nitrogenation. Carbonation is hard to see, but I would expect it to be on the mild and creamy side, similar to a Guinness. It looks as expected.
Aroma is predominantly sweet, milk chocolately, but with a hint of bitterness, maybe some dark fruits, and some earthiness in the background, sort of like coffee husks. Reminiscent of a chocolate stout. I hope it isn't too sweet on the tongue.
Up front the taste is quite similar to the aroma, lots of milk chocolate, but it has a lovely bitterness that builds and crescendos towards the swallow to balance out the sweetness. There's also some burnt maltiness and some kind of funky, earthy note. I'd say the hops are mostly of the citrus variety with a hint of spice. Alcohol is discernable on the swallow and a little bit afterwards, though the lingering flavor is milk chocolate and some thin bitterness. I'd call this fairly balanced, especially for the style, though it isn't my favorite flavor profile in a stout. It's still a touch sweet for me.
This is a fairly heavy bodied beer with subtle, creamy carbonation and a fair amount of chewiness. Very enjoyable to drink, and quite easy as well considering the ABV. Definitely wouldn't want to drink a lot of this stuff, but it's an enjoyable sipper on a cold day.
This is solid for the style, which is not one of my favorites but I do pick up a few here and there in the colder months. I really appreciate the balance here, as I find most beers in this category to be just too sweet for my taste. Otherwise, it is a bit one-dimensional but it does that one dimension well. If you're into chocolate milk stouts, it probably doesn't get much better than this. I haven't had the carbonated version of this yet, but I doubt I would enjoy it more than this as I quite like the nitrogenated mouthfeel when done right, and this one certainly nailed it. Very drinkable, especially for the ABV. Cheers!

Had Nitro Temptress at Guitars & Growlers, Richardson, Tex., on nitro draft into almost tulip.
Pours apparently absolutely black, but deep brown at the edges when backlit, with 1-finger, creamy tan head, with excellent retention, pulling chunky lace down the glass. Mild chocolate aroma off pour, then a bit of citrus aroma joins the growing chocolate aroma as warms. On tasting, begins sweet vanilla, then mild roast malts, and then growing chocolate carries over a grainy malt body into the mildly roasty finish.
A nice sweet stout balanced by a substantial malt backbone, which does however diminish the nitro effects.

Nitro version.
Similar to standard Temptress, only better.
Pours dark brown to black.
Can said to invert and pour. This gave it a nice dense head which dissipated fairly quickly with no lacing.
The aroma is milk chocolate and dry coffee. As expected, smooth body with a taste of chocolate with some malty caramel. Overall a very nice milk stout.

Much better than it's carbon dioxide sister. Smooth, smells like a chocolate mixed with fruit. Brilliant.
