12oz can received via Beer Drop. Canned on March 6, 2024 per the stamp on the bottom rim of the can. Another old Beer from Beer Drop.
Poured into a 12oz can glass, this was a chill-hazed golden amber color, with a very short-lived fizzy white head. No lace to speak of.
Herbal and sweet in the nose, the sweetness coming from some bready smelling malts.
Sweet, bready malts are the most dominant aspect of the taste, slightly overpowering some grassy herbal hops. There's a kind of applejuice thing in the background that I suspect isn't so apparent in a fresher example.
Body somewhere closer to medium than light, and a somewhat flabby mouth feel for the style.
Maybe this is an entirely different beer when fresh, but both cans of this that I've received from Beer Drop are the same age (nearly a year old), so I can only report on my experience. Based on that, I'll stick to my local pils options.
