Firkin poured at Jack Mac's for the Open the Taps event.
The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma has some nice citrus notes, but the grains of paradise notes also really come through strongly on the nose. The grains are not as present in the flavor, which is dominated by some nice, juicy orange citrus notes. I also get a hint of biscuit and some grass, as well as some bitterness. There is also a yeast quality in the flavor that goes well. Medium mouthfeel. A lot of times I find beers from firkins are not carbonated property, but the brewers really nailed the carbonation on this one. Very nice.
