Poured from a 12 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Dark, dark brown pour... 1.5 fingers of off-white head fall fast... decent lacing.
S: Roast and banana dominate.. plus a bit of cocoa.
T.F: Semi-sweet... chocolate, banana, vanilla, and light roast. A little earthy... brown sugar and malts. Minimal bitterness. On the lighter end of medium bodied. Well carbonated. Chocolate and banana at the finish.
O: A decent light porter. A little sweet... but the banana isn't overwhelming which is a positive. Not bad for a little change of pace.

Sampling a cellar temp 12 oz can poured into my snifter. The beer pours a dark cola brown color with a fluffy beige colored head that fades to a thin edge layer soon after the pour. The aroma is sweet chocolate and some ripe banana, with no hint of hops.
The first sip reveals an average body with smooth texture and very fine carbonation.
Flavor is sweet just like the nose. I get sweet chocolate notes and some brown sugar and a bit of roasted malt. This rolls to some ripe banana that lingers after each swallow. There isnt any hop presence on this beer and it drinks easy.
The beer isnt complex and isnt very robuat either. This is a decent brew, but I wouldnt chase it down.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell has lots of bananas, a bit of chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, smoke, some banana, a touch of chocolate, subdued compared to the aroma. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Bad Luck Banana Porter was a pleasant surprise. Too bad it isn't available year round. I hope Fin City Brewing starts offering this beer year round. I have found Bad Luck Banana Porter at two bars in the Ocean City area, but this beer wasn't at the brewery last I checked.
