This is our interpretation of true American style pale ale. It has an amber color and a smooth, full-flavored taste with a crisp finish. We brew this exceptional ale with pale, caramel, and wheat malts and aggressively-hop with a blend of 3 hop varieties in 3 separate additions providing a clean bitterness.

Draft pour into a tumbler.
L: Mostly clear gold-amber, foamy white head.
S: Earthy with citrus peel-like hop aroma.
T: Malt forward but not sweet, earthy, some zesty hop flavor, grassy and a bit funky.
F: Light-medium body, well carbonated but fairly smooth.
O: OK, mediocre traditional Pale.

Rich gold amber semi-clear appearance with a foamy head, good retention, and lacing. Fruity, grapefruit, pine, hops. Medium body, moderate carbonation.

Appearance:
Sunset yellow with a big poofy cloud of ivory floating above. The cloud evaporates like dew until it resembles, in both depth and lacing, sea foam you’d find on a jetty at low tide. Thematic when you consider its brewer.
Bouquet, Feel, & Taste:
A half-hearted sprinkle of deflated malts with a pinch of hops so begrudgingly parsimonious it’d make Ebenezer Scrooge raise an incredulous eyebrow. They meet together at the local dullard’s club to create a pallet/aroma that’s surprisingly okay.
It won’t be winning any awards, but let’s say you’ve given your stomach a needlessly lipid-laden day of heavy lifting ill-advisable enough that even hearing the word “fried” sends your gallbladder into post-traumatic convulsions so vivid that it tries to escape by wiggling out your bum in a mad fit of desperation…
...yet despite all this, your hankering for cold beer wasn’t ejected from you like a chunk of flaming rock from Vesuvius circa 79 A.D., then White Marlin is a safe selection.
Its got a light body, relaxed carbonation, and a palate that’s affable and easy to watch TV with in comfortable silence. It’s a little sweet, gently hoppy, and feels a lot more survivable than just about any other flavored beverage would be under similarly, self-afflicted circumstances.

Way too malty for a Pale Ale.

On my last vacation in the Rehoboth Beach, DE area, I stopped by Putlet Liquors, one of my favorite haunts, to pick up DelMarVa area brews I can't find in NY. This is one I got.
Pours an amber/caramel color with a frothy, nearly creamy head that retains quite well throughout. The carbonation is visible.
In the nose, there is initially a citrus, orange peel like scent. This is paired with a cereal grain and caramel aroma. As the drink warms, aromas of lemongrass and floral notes take over.
Served cold there is a mouthfeel and flavor that is both somewhat clean yet has a bit of a raw grain huskiness. In this first phase the taste is mostly malt forward and bready. However, as it warms, some nice flavors are unlocked. Notes of soft pine and lemongrass begin to take over. The body is medium to light, while towards the end an increasingly silky finish smooths out the body and renders it quite pleasant and drinkable.
Overall, is it an earth shattering Pale Ale? Certainly not as it does not offer great complexities and has some flaws at first. However, it smooths itself out significant and ends up being decent. I'd like to try other stuff from this brewery.

On tap at the BNA Party last week.Slightly hazy deep golden color. Citrus and light pine with some bready and light caramel maltiness behind it. Decent pale ale.
