Just a wonderful beer-- a little on the sweet side but with a nice hop balance nevertheless. Beautiful color, perfect head. Delicious. I moved to Denver from Philly where there is a lot of good German style beer--pilsners, helles styles, etc. It's been great to discover Prost here in Denver.

This Vienna just won the 2025 gold award at the Great American Beer Festival. It's a transparent red brown color with a white head. I could not smell any aroma. The flavor is an insignificant sweetness. The mouthfeel is clean as it ends the sip. I honestly don't know why it won, there is no flavor.

i dont think its any secret anymore that these guys are on a serious roll or that their beer is taking massive strides forward from what was already real good, but this new brewery and remastering of some of the beers has brought them to a whole new level, perhaps the best german beers in america are coming out of this spot, and they have a lot to be stoked about. this is one of the lighter vienna lagers ive had, less body, and more importantly, way less residual sugar than is common in the style, especially domestic examples of it, love how quick and clean this is, more classic lager refreshment than i generally expect from a vienna, so tidy and bright. copper colored, crystal clear with some shine, shorter head on this one but good carbonation is present. the nose is nutty with a toffee note, maybe a hint of maple too, but its not sugary to taste. layers of biscuit, bread crusts, almond, and familiar from their other beers german lager yeast, simple in a good way, refined to the point of almost lacking personality, but that isnt a critique just an observation. the flavor is similar, drier, more bready and appreciably fresh which i dont think is something that usually stands out in this kind of beer. very little from the hops, super clean ferment, very drinkable. i like the approach here, the quality is off the charts, and i suspect this will do extremely well for them as people start to realize how good it has gotten. these guys are positively killing it right now!

On draft at Prost in Fort Collins. Poured a clear, copper color with a small, off-white head of fluffy foam. It left intricate lacing on the glass. It smelled of roasted malt, toffee, caramel and bread. Sweet caramel and toffee taste with roasted coffee.

Canned October 26th 2022.
Pours a brilliantly clear gold with a small and rather quickly dissipating head of foam, with a tiny bit of lacing.
The smell is some caramel and toasted malt with a light pinch of hoppy bitterness.
The taste is caramel malt, not super sweet, toasted malt, grain is minimal, and not a bad amount of noble hops. So nicely balanced and so easy drinking.
Good mouthfeel, right amount of carbonation.
Excellent!

This is a very solid beer. Just a bit of spiciness through the hops, but not enough to overpower it. Still light and very drinkable at 5.4%, this is a great representation of a style that gets overlooked pretty often. I'd have this one year-round, not just in the fall or spring.
