a lighter pils type, i believe this is actually a style variant, uncommon anyway, but totally epic, an absolute ripper, and one of the best prost beers ive ever had, courtesy of their impressive new brewery north of denver, advanced in every way, infinitely drinkable, and refined to a degree rarely seen, if you like a snappy german lager on the easy side, you cannot do better for yourself than by drinking this one, truly elite! blonde and absolutely sparkling, crystal clear, radiant, bubbly, and holding its inch plus of airy and excited white head, cant wait to dig in, this is immaculate. frankly it does smell and taste like an old world pils, but its less bready and substantial on the grain side, still a pils malt aroma and flavor, fresh as can be, old worldy and clean, but without quite the full spectrum grain profile, and its bone dry. the hops are floral and distinctive, perhaps noble yes, but uncommon, doest seem like saaz but there is a little but of fruitiness to it, dried flowers too, and just enough bitterness, so balanced and refreshing. its zesty and fresh, its mineral forward and effortless, the attention to detail here is off the charts, its so clean and refined. they have filtered this to pure, they have gotten the most out of the yeast, and really have something special here overall. i love that its in pint cans too, and i hope it comes to idaho. this might be my favorite lager of any kind ive had so far the year, not to be missed, nor is this new brewery, holy cow!
