When you go to a Strange Brew festival, and you see raspberry peppermint sour stout, you check it out. Could be epic, could be an abomination or somewhere in between.
This one was not my cup of tea. Such a weird mixture of mint and raspberry here. There was more bitterness than expected, the carbonation didn't help, was too low. The tartness wasn't enjoyable. The mint wasn't refreshing, it was weighing it down. Needed more 2 row or chocolate malt to sturdy up a base to build all the adjuncts around.
Skeptical if this was a batch that went sideways.
