Had this beer the other day at BeerNV after a day of skiing at Mt. Rose. This is the first review of this beer on BA.
Pours eh, not the most attractive beer, but still beer. Hazy, cloudy, something that doesn't fall into the hazy ipa category, far from clear beer, but it gets weird as Brewer's Cabinet almost never dry hops their beer, but also doesn't do the flaked oat/wheat thing either. Thin 1/4" white head. The aroma does have a light hoppy edge, especially for said brewery, so we're bouncing back here. There might be Citra in here.
Taste, its a weird hodgepodge. Pale ale would seem more on point. Its underhopped for an ipa. A session ipa is a pale ale. Has the bitterness and body of a bigger beer, there are hops here, but they don't jump out with any specificity, just that pine and orange bitterness alongside a normal or above average malt bill for a 4-5% beer. Didn't hate it, just didn't really understand the beer, but I'm often left wondering that about this brewery.
I guess Sorry For Partying is still my jam from them. "At least you tried".gif

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
