1st review of this beer on BA. Consumed April 2021. Brewer's cabinet ipas are almost never good nor date stamped, but I took a chance since the price was right at Winco $8/6 pack.
Pours a clear yellow, 2/3" white head. Looks pretty good. The aroma like many brut ipas and almost every Brewer's Cabinet beer lacks a discernable specific hop aroma. Smelled like bittering hops I guess.
The taste isn't offputting, so that is a slight change of pace. It has the requisite levity and dryness of a brut ipa. The hop rates/selection just doesn't do much. Hell this is just as much a dry cream ale as it is an ipa. Ok, that is a bit of an exaggeration but you know where I'm coming from. Moderate bitterness level.
If I ventured a guess, I'd say this is all bittering hops, and not too many of them. Might be zero dry hopping here. It doesn't smell or taste bad though, and I guess that is worth something. Prolly not a repeat purchase, but not one I regret either. Above average for them.
