Copenhagen 9/8 2025. 33 cl bottle from a One Pint Gift Box from my in-laws. Brown label with a drawing of a row of barrels.

Pours clear dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Bubbly. Settles as dry thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.

Aroma is Medium intense with a sweet melty scent mingling with souris sharp scent Burnt caramel, toasted bread and biscuits. Sour grains.

Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.

Sweet dark lager with a light sourish touch.

330 ml bottle. Ascorbic and citric acid has been added to this "pure malt and Saazer hops" beer, hmmm..... Copper coloured, low head. Weak aroma, some caramel malts. Very moderate flavour of caramel malts. I’m not impressed!

A: Dark amber. Small head with off-white foam

S: weak smell. Sweet. Malty.

T: Similar to taste. Very watery

M: Smooth but very watery for beeing a Vienna

O: Calling it black is misleading. This is a dark vienna. Nice sweet taste, but too watery for me

This beer pours a very basic amber color and develops very full head that is slightly off-white. The smell is very malty and sweet. The taste is typical of a dark or amber lager (not a black). This is a sweet beer so it can create a lasting taste on the drinker's tongue. The mouthfeel is smooth and the drinkability is high.

A: Head builds during pouring about as fast as it dissipates after finishing the pour. Slightly brown but mainly white head. Fizzles down to a slight ring with practically no lacing. Orange brown color.
S: Smells of a light sweet malt.
T: It is not a bad beer. It does lack body, but the flavor is fairly good. I will agree with the watery sentiment towards this beer. It would probably be more rich in flavor if it was thicker bodied. The flavor is almost prefect, but does fall short.
M: As mentioned, it is a thin beer which takes away from the flavor. It does make it easier to drink than most heavy lagers, but it also loses that desired richness. Medium to light carbonation in the mouth.
D: Easy to drink because of its thin body. Would be the perfect beer if it was slightly richer in taste.

Brought back from Denmark by my brother. Many thanks.
Greenish brown bottle with date of 07-03-07.
Aroma starts with a mild malt with a touch of toasted malt. Then moves to a water character. A bit of malty sweetness in time.
Very small head that is quickly a ring and a smatering of a partial white cover. Nice brilliantly clear amber of orangish brown.
Flavor is largely malt with a softness that is further diluted by an unmistakable watery quality. Malt has some character with a bit of toastiness and a touch of nuttiness. Mild bitterness picks up in the end. There is a funny sweetness that picks up in the middle that just doesn't seem right (it also holds a sourness - and seems like it may be a flaw).
As noted there is a watery quality that make is thin. Moderate carbonation that is filling. Decently soft for a lager.
Has the makings of a nice beer, but too watery leads to a deficient character or boldness. Also the flaw. I had hoped for better.
Website notes 100% Saaz, and 90 days to make it.
