Brewed with Bravo, Cascade and Pacific Jade hops, then dry hopped with Bravo, Pacific Jade and Comet hops, this IPA definitely packs a one-two punch! The grapefruit and citrus aroma softens the blow ever-so slightly, but don't let that fool you. You definitely want this Knockout in your corner.

I'm going to preface this with the issue I've long been a beliver in. All deliveries (bottles or cans) of beer should be in pints. Perhaps a small thing to most, but an important committment that what you are about to receive is worthy and we've made sure you will receive a satistying portion so if you want more your happily asking for such rather than feeling shorted. Get it? Well, that's my belief. 11.2 and 12 ounces suck if the brew is worthy. So Knockout just makes the cut because of this as otherwise it isn't a distinguished IPA. But, sometimes this version just might be wicked good. This serving and taste could be my personal lawnmower beer of choice. Heavier on golden malt than all those corn beers and with the right hint of citrus zing (afterall this is an IPA), I find this beer very refreshing on a hot day. We simply don't need every IPA to be pushing some envelope of ABV, Bitterness, or Zingy tartness. There's a place in the world for a gambler and these guys gambled I'd like a pint and a lighter more refreshing IPA. I applaud the Fat Bottom guys as such.

Nicely balanced malt and hop aroma and flavor. Lightly citrusy. Seemed maltier straight from the can. Definitely needs to be poured. Light to medium bodied with a dry hoppy finish.

Had Knockout poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped "CANNED ON 10/30/2024," into tulip pint.

Pours light amber-gold with clarity and 2-finger, foamy, off-white head, with excellent retention, leaving chunky rings of lace down the glass. Tropical floral, sweet grapefruit and bitter herbal aromas off pour, then a little hop spice aroma, with more bitter herbal and diverse fruit aromas as warms. On tasting, begins lightly malty but with a big mouthfeel, then big, sweet citrus, topped by bigger, bitter grapefruit, over a hint of caramel malt, before a rather clean, only a bit resinous, herbally bitter but still fruity finish.

Despite an unusual hop bill aside from the Cascade, this lightly-malted IPA has a very West Coast feel.
