DATE: June 30, 2025... OCCASION: walking a second day in Gatlinburg, we stopped into Ole Red's for dinner and music.. GLASSWARE: Ole Red's 20 oz. (take home)... clear chestnut red body with minimal bubbles and a thin, frothy ring of head... its aroma is light caramel, bread malts, and sharp sugars make this work well enough...it drinks well enough too, a smooth body that sorts the alcohol out nicely... its caramel is solid, and the bread malts hold up, though there isn't much hop to speak of--maybe the faintest hint of citrus... this is a nice tie-in to the restaurant itself--and nothing beats celebrating Grady and Hanna's engagement!--so the experience is a good part of my feeling the beer... set apart, reasonable...

On tap at Ole Red in Nashville, TN.
This one pours a light reddish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells vaguely malty, but there’s not a lot going on here.
This isn’t bad by any means, but I’m not exactly thinking that a tossed off red ale made for Blake Shelton’s bars is going to exactly blow the roof off of anything. It’s malty and crisp enough, but there’s not a ton of complexity here.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and pretty drinkable.
This is pretty boring, it was fine, but there’s not really that much to talk about.

A beer made for Blake Shelton's restaurant Ole Red....which is where I'm trying it. It poured a clear amber with white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had rich malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with caramel malt base and subtle bitter hop highlights throughout the drink. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.
