33cl bottle poured into Paulaner Seidel
Best before Oct 2010
A- 3 finger cream head sitting atop an amber body with excellent clarity. Head retention is good as is lacing.
S- Light pepper, touch of biscuit malt.
T- Light peppery spice turns into a wave of toasted malt sweetness with a hint of alcohol in the finish. Not as dry a finish as is typical with a maibock
M- Low to medium carbonation, full bodied, clean lager finish.
D- Tasty maibock, sweeter end of the scale with a fuller finish. Clean on the palate and still felt fresh despite the best before date.

(On tap at Brauhaus Aktuell in Koblenz, Germany)
Appearance
Clear, straw yellow (was surprised as I expected a dark beer...must be a maibock), smaller head
Smell
Light berry, caramel, and fresh bread
Taste & Mouthfeel
Subtle but sweet and very smooth; hardly any carbonation to be seen or felt, with a soft and somewhat oily and thin body; some toffee notes
Drinkability
Went down easily; surprised by how much I liked it.
