Not bad but unremarkable.

Königsbacher Brauerei “Koblenzer Pils”
,33L brown glass bottle coded “Mindestens haltbar bis Ende: 03.22 L29G210”. Sampled on 25.09.21
€,75 @ Tomis Supermarkt, Bacharach, DE
Look: Straw gold in color with fingerprint-through-the-glass clarity beneath a full head of fluffy bright white foam. Better than average head retention but with limited lacing.
Smell: Grainy and sweetish Pilsner malt with a hint of grassiness and lemon.
Taste: The flavor follows with some additional herbal character and a stiff bitterness that leads it to a short, dry finish.
Feel: Medium to medium light in body and gently crisp.
Overall: Better than a lot of economy Euro-Pils, but far from the best of class. It serves its purpose with dignity.

1st beer in a mini-German evening I'm having with myself (13 June 2012).
Tall brown 0.5 litre bottle, well in date when poured into an old 'Schultheiss' 0.5 litre sleeve.
Mid-range lager/pilsner gold: clear, bright and clean. Good foaming head of snow white bubbles which tried to stay big and did for a fair while before it faded away: the beer was fresh.
My usual score of 3 for an odourless pilsner.
Crisp and tangy mouthfeel: hops to the fore with a malt content just about preventing the beer from being too bitter or dry. A welcome addition to this breweries portfolio.

New entry from the Konigsbacher brewery, a straightforward german pils. Nice golden color, light head, and a clean, snappy taste. Sharp and tingly on the tongue, with a faint grainy aftertaste. A good example of a German pils from this old German brewery.
