Pint can I picked up when it finally went on clearance from whatever completely unreasonable price they were asking for a 4-pack of 4.6% ABV Irish stout (hah). Served in a pint glass. Slightly roasty aroma and a great appearance, pitch black with a thick pillowy foam with multiple tinges of brown. Flavor has a grainy, bitter flavor of blackened malt, along with a thin but very smooth mouthfeel. Crystal and coffee malts, but no oatmeal here, I wager. The internet says midnight wheat, which makes complete sense, along with magnum and kent hops.

I expect this is pretty true to a traditional Irish Dry Stout -- but it's pretty hard to get excited about Reuben's doing that style (vs. another stout or something more more adventuresome).

Served On-Tap

A — Dark rich brown with a billowy and creamy beige colored head, leaves behind some quality lacing.

S — Smell is rich and dry, robust notes of bitter nearly acrid malts on top of a chewy and grainy base.

T — Smooth and mellow notes of chocolate and a bit of bitter coffee rest upon a semi sweet malt base.

M — Medium bodied and smoothed on Nitro, creamy and delicious.

O — Pretty good overall, what else would you expect from Reuben's though?
