Collaboration with Alvarado Street Brewery
A one-off collaboration between Reuben's and our friends at Alvarado Street. This big, juicy, fruity IPA comes in at 6% ABV and 50 IBUs. Lots of Mosaic and a little Amarillo give notes of passion fruit, mango, a little orange and citrus.

Huge head production; decent retention and lacing. Pale lemon-yellow body, hazy (as advertised), with some floaties and particulate. The floaties are undesirable, but they're not the worst.
Huge, green hop nose: moderate-to-strong dankness, bright green herbs, pepper, and juicy citrus and tropical tones that are mostly washed out by the herbal notes. Peach, mandarin orange, grapefruit, kumquat, mango.
Pepper up front, along with leafy green herbs, moderate-to-high bitterness, and citrus zest. Sweet dank notes come along on the back third, but never overwhelm, giving way to a brief but pleasant lush fruitiness. Mandarin orange, mango, peach, lemon, and passion fruit.
Immediately crisp, lively, and a touch watery on the palate (not a shock given the relatively low ABV), but quickly easing into a polite smoothness. Fairly effervescent, but the hop oils coat the tongue for a very long finish, and it's quite pleasant the entire time.
This is a beer that: looks and is labeled like a NE IPA; has the body and ABV of a hoppy APA; and comes across as a fairly regular (but very good!) IPA.
