22oz bottle @ Costco. Very good DIPA, dry, yet refreshing. Fairly light for a double. Aroma is almost nothing, hops are quite mild for 40 IBU's, it tastes like 1/2 that. Mouthfeel is very mild, but it tastes like a solid backbone of light malts. One of the best beers I've had in a long time! Rated 5-26-2020

Rueben’s brews are some of the kings of NW IPAs and this one sits lofty on the ramparts. A crisp, champagne of an ale supported by clean malts and lemony,, floral hops. Fantastic!

i thought this was absolutely excellent beer, a stronger example of the style and a beer that features the newly popular loral hop in a cool way, more robust than it has been in other beers in my experience, and this is so well refined, scary easy drinking for what it is, really yummy! clear yellow brew here, lively and bright from the tap, heady and champagne-esque indeed! the loral hops have a really cool nose, a little bit of the cat pee thing i often get from mosaic here, but tons of white grape, dried herbs, and fresh flowers to it, some lemon as well, and it seems perfectly showcased here. everything i smell from the hops i can taste too, including a bit more bitterness that i expected, which i love in this type of ipa but so rarely find in it. a subtle peppery earthiness to it, maybe a passion fruit tropical note too, some grassiness, herbal qualities, and epic freshness. some neat minerals in here, a real simple grain base that might have some pils malt in it, and an incredibly clean fermentation that gives it its unlikely drinkability. its got no sign of the alcohol, is crackling dry, and just really pops with carbonation, as clean as can be, gone completely on the swallow. i like the way the loral hop works in this context, perhaps more versatile than i have known it to be in the past. i want to drink this beer again, one of the better bruts ive had! extremely well made and delicious and summer for the style! loved it.

Imperial Brut? why not. Moderate spritz, not as fizzy as some of these Bruts. Clean and fruity with that lovely melon scent. Just a slight bitterness. Flavors of honeydew and lime.
This is my idea of a strong beer. Pleasantly hopped without the weird flavors. It's actually better than most Bruts for such a clean, aromatic finish instead of the harsh dry edge. From the convenient, recappable 22 oz bottle purchased at the far northern beer store.

Idiotic 22oz bottle, poured into 14oz teku. Poured a bright, clean, clear light gold color with 1/4 inch of whit head that had low retention and minimal lacing.
A light grain base was at the front of the nose, then the lemony aspects of the hop started showing up. There was also a bit of an earthy dankness (like a dirt cellar, not weed) that added a nice touch of contrast.
Same on the tongue, just better developed.
The body was light, smooth, and crisp, with a pleasingly dry finish.
Drinkability was very good, for once i didn't mind having a beer in my least favorite format.
Overall, a very nice brew. A must try if you see it.
