Supreme Triumvirate is brewed in collaboration with old friends and long time supporters Brouwer’s Cafe and Bottleworks, and is the second collaboration in Reuben’s Brews’ 10th Anniversary series in 2022. When co-founders Adam and Grace Robbings moved in to the neighborhood one of their criteria for choosing a new home was that it was walking distance from great beer, and Brouwer’s Cafe sealed the deal.
We’ve proudly brewed Triumvirate IPA as the house IPA for Brouwer’s, Bottleworks, and the dearly departed The Burgundian since 2015, and along the way that special beer has been honored with GABF and World Beer Cup Gold. For our 10th Anniversary we’ve brought the empire back together for a new imperial version of this classic west coast IPA.

This is the type of beer I like, a strong beer with nice flavors. It has a good hop flavor mellowed by the ABV with minimal bite. Pours a clear golden color with small head. Aroma is piney and fruity. very good beer. 52 IBUs Rated 4-8-2022

16 ounce can dated 1/26/22, so not super fresh, but it's still just fine. It's amber, with a nice white head that hangs on for a while and leaves scattered lacing. The smell is pine and citrus, with a little fruit. The taste is similar, but with a good sock of bitterness. An IPA like an IPA should be! The fruit makes it seems just a tad sweet, but it's not actually sweet. Overall, it's a fine IPA, with a higher and more noticeable alcohol level than usual. Good stuff.

Another in the 10th Anniversary Series. Pours a clear amber with plenty of foam in the Maredsous goblet. Pleasant sudsy mouthfeel with a distinct sharpness. Rather sweet and I think of a bitter hop liqueur. Seriusly aromatic with lemon and grapefruit peel.
Citrus peel taste with a pine chaser. Long bitter aftertaste. Hot with alcohol. Not bad for sipping but a total overdose of hops. From the 16 oz can purchased at The Cave in Kirkland. Dated o1/26/22.

Rich golden body that's almost completely clear. Multi-finger pillowy white head that lingers and lingers and leaves great lacing when I do sip.
Citrus and tropical fruits and a touch of melon and then some resin and nectar on the nose.
Flavour leans more into those latter notes. Then a thick layer of beach fruits. Finish shows more earthy and the grainy malts come in a bit more.

Poured into a Reuben's Brew pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a big, three finger white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale and mildly caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, orange, lemon and light mixed stone fruit with a bit of dankness. Flavor is dry caramel malt, piney and citrus hops, mixed citrus and light stone fruit, some wisps of tropical fruit and some dankness in the finish along with pine. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Tastes like it is, a somewhat amped up version of the fine Bottleworks/Brouwers house IPA. Classic Northwest IPA hop flavors of citrus and pine along with some pleasant mild stone fruit and tropical notes. Great flavor, solid bitterness in the finish without being too intense and the body is more substantial with a bit more creaminess. Don't know if this a one off or will appear again, but I'm going to get some more now and will revisit it stays on the market. Could use some more real IPAs as the market if flooded with soft hazies.
