Wormwood Scrubs is brewed in the tradition of 19th century British strong ales. Stock ales have a unique “mature” character caused by secondary fermentation in oak casks.
Our stock ale is aged with Brettanomyces claussenii, the same strain that was first discovered in English stock ale barrels.
