Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 3/29/23, so a couple months old.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a light-to-moderate haze and a good effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: dank, bitter, resiny hops atop a rather sweet malt base. A really classic early-2000s DIPA aroma, or perhaps like an American strong ale from back in the day. It's actually not bad at all, and kind of takes me back.
Taste: much like the aroma, this is a pretty classic American DIPA. Sweet malt, strong and bitter hops, and a general earthy dankness. There's also a bit of a minty character to the hops, that is present in the aroma as well now that it's on my mind. An interesting and solid example of the style.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: here's the category where I usually throw in a little more personal opinion. While the beer is good, it's not really a session beer and is more of a light sipper than what I would call "drinkable". Very subjective, I know. It's a decent beer, but I wouldn't have a second.

Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Maredsous goblet. Citrusy aroma with peach in the nose. Rather thick mouthfeel with sweet malty taste. Balanced with all the hops and a more dry finish. Lots of peach flavor to go with the sugar. Quite sippable with bold fruit flavor, spritz on the tongue, and an alcohol taste. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 03/29/23.
