Handsome appearance with dark amber-tinged brown brew topped with creamy foam. Some roasted grain aroma with a alfalfa in the nose. This tastes like a watery Schwarzbier to me. Which is to say, darkish with a slight burnt aftertaste. In this case, it's actually surprisingly bitter as the malt and roasted grain taste fades. It's quite gulpable but not very rewarding. Still, it's a variation on the variety of lower-ABV brews that actually have some flavor. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Unreadable date on the bottom.
