A juicy yet light-bodied IPA with notes of grapefruit and passionfruit, Brighten Up squeezes its vibrant character from a blend of four hop varieties and finishes crisp and clean.

Slightly hazy dark amber brew but sticky handsome foam in the goblet. Pleasant aroma of grilled peach with some lemony notes. Taste is rather bitter from the start with citrus peel. Mango perhaps, underneath the bitterness. Grapefruit after that. Mineral finish with wood and astringent stuff. Overall this is a rough customer, but the aroma is nice and the peach taste would be a winner without the harsh bitterness. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 04/18/25.

From a 6-pack picked up at Jim's Market in Banks, OR
12oz can poured into a Big Head's Belgian-style tulip
P brilliant orange/gold w/ a slight haze; 1f frothy white head; fairly quick recession
N a neutral nose of pale malt w/ just a touch of sweetness
T follows nose- neutral pale and wheat malts w/ a touch of lemony citrus in there, alright
Mf light-med bodied w/ soft-med to med carb; lightly creamy; nice mouthfeel
O an alright IPA; more mellow than I was hoping for, but drinkable; mouthfeel is defintely the highlight here for me

BOD 1-10-2025. Pours a golden/amber color with a decent head that turns to lacing. Aroma is sweet citrus; taste is similar with just the right amount of bitterness from the hops to give it an old IPA feel. The sweetness brings it into the present. Very drinkable.

12oz can pkgd 12/20/24 served in a pint glass. Slightly hazy and golden with a very pleasing white head. Crisp flavor of citrus and grapefruit zest. Some of that NZ hop sweeter, funkier fruit. But with that twist, it's otherwise a pretty classic citrus-forward West coast IPA. And excellently executed.

Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 10/21/24; I got this can in the 2024 Reuben’s advent calendar.
Appearance: medium gold with just a dash of haze and a light effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: toasty malt with a somewhat bright citrusy hop character. Perhaps a little resinous, too; a pretty classic IPA profile. I like it.
Taste: bright citrusy hops, just as in the aroma, atop a moderately sweet toasty-ish malt base. What this evokes for me is “summertime west coast IPA” — and I’m into it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a tasty and quite drinkable IPA. I would order another one of these.
