Looking to push our creative boundaries, we took inspiration from two different styles and brewed a Red Ale with Indian coriander, sweet orange peel, and a yeast strain typically used for Belgian-style Witbier. Playful by nature, this beer also has a sly drinkability.
Malts: 2-Row, Vienna, Caramel Munich 60, Caramel Steam 40, Chocolate Rye
Hops: Cascade, Chinook, Citra

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. The can is dated on the bottom, but it's illegible; this came in my 2024 Reuben's advent calendar.
Appearance: rich amber hue with a clear body and a finger of tan foam atop. Definitely not your typical witbier, but it seems to be just what they were going for.
Smell: plenty of toasty, almost biscuity malt. It definitely has a witbier-like spicing, but with this particular malt profile, it comes across as a pretty convincing winter warmer. Not exactly my thing, but not bad.
Taste: toasty malt with a considerably more floral character than the aroma hinted at. This ends up tasting more like an English pale ale, albeit a spiced one. Like the aroma, it's interesting, but I'm not sure it's for me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: an interesting experiment; I would say that it doesn't tickle my fancy, but it seems like a well-made beer, and I'm sure it will have its audience.
